Foxconn Making Stores Worth $1.6 Billion In China To Sell Apple Products

When it comes to manufacturing Apple devices, Foxconn is the front runner. This China based company has been manufacturing devices for Apple for quite sometime now, and it looks like both the companies are on good terms as they keep on expanding. The latest news is, that Foxconn will spend over $1.6 billion on making new stores in China which will sell Apple products.

According to iHS iSupply, last week’s explosion at the Chengdu Foxconn plant may in fact lead to a loss in production of 500,000 iPads.
Apple and Foxconn Issue Statements on Foxconn Factory Explosion

Foxconn confirmed that the explosion in their Chengdu factory resulted in two fatalities and 16 injuries to other employees. Production at the site of the explosion has been suspend and Foxconn is focusing on the safety and welfare of their employees. Apple expressed sympathy to the victims and are working closely with Foxconn to understand the origin of the explosion.
