iH8sn0w, the hacker behind Sn0wbreeze, iREB and some other tools is currently working on a new version of Sn0wbreeze which will allow you to preserve your iPhone baseband while upgrading to higher firmware. It will also create custom firmwares which helps you to jailbreak your device while preserving baseband.
Sn0wbreeze 2.2 will allow you to play the popular game Pac-Man while the process of creating custom IPSW firmwares. iH8sn0w was not kidding about that, as the process takes some times, he added a features in Sn0wbreeze 2.2 which will let you to have fun while creating the custom firmwares.
There's still no ETA for the release of Sn0wbreeze 2.2. Anyway, we'll keep you updated whenever the required tools are released.
