Downloading Files Using Download Manager for Safari on iPhone

Have you ever wanted to download a file on Safari by using a more sophisticated method of downloading tool which allows for the download of multiple file formats, including: images, videos, music, images, etc

If yes, we have the best tool for such purpose. To be precise, it’s a tweak rather than an app. For this, you will be needing a jailbroken iPhone, since the tweak needs to be installed from Cydia repository which will integrate with your native Safari browser, and allow you to download files to any location you want, and will also let you know which file you are downloading and how much of it is completed.
Pre-Requisites:
  • iPhone (iPhone 2G, 3G/3GS, 4)
  • iPod Touch (any generation)
  • Jailbroken iOS software
Instructions:
The very first step is to open up Cydia from your Homescreen, on the jailbroken iPhone or iOS device
Once you have opened it, click on the “Search”   button found on the bottom navigational panel of the screen. Now, search for the following tweak:
  • Safari Download Manager
Download the 2nd one, since that is the one meant for older devices and is also free. If you have the much newer iOS 4.0 and above, you should invest and get the 1st one.
Anyways, once the program is installed, go back to your Homescreen
Download any file you want and you will notice that the Safari browser will open up a small pop-up which will give you several options, including options to View the file , Save the File or even choose the location where you want to save the file
If you want to save the file to a specific and more easy location, choose the “Download To..” option and you will be shown the folders from where you can choose from. If you want, you can also create a new folder and save your file in it.
