App Store Hits 500 000 Apps [Infographic]

Early this morning, Apple's App Store hit a huge milestone, 500,000 apps have been approved by Apple's stringent team.
A couple hours past midnight, the App Store gave consent to the batch of apps that would take the number of approved apps past the half a million benchmark. Considering that the App Store is only three years old, that is phenomenal!
That said, given that apps are occasionally taken off the market due to various reasons, the number of apps currently on the app store resides at 400,000 apps. Nevertheless, that's more than an app a day for the next thousand years.
To celebrate this remarkable feat, mobile app blog 148apps, search company Chomp and game developer Chilingo got together to create a beautiful info graphic of the App Store's growth over the years.
