New Features and Interface coming to iOS Maps app

According to 9to5mac that Apple is seeking engineers to take the iOS Maps app to the next level. Those engineer will work on "innovative features" and "sophisticated user interfaces" according to the Apple's job posting.

So far there's no more details, but as usual I'll keep you infromed with updates, stay tuned.
It remains to be seen whether they’re simply adding new features on top of the Google-provided mapping data or a developing a brand new solution that would see Apple license its own satellite imagery, turn-by-turn data and so forth. If anything, we now know for a fact that they’re working on a crowd-sourced traffic service, which they claim is a few years away.
