Thursday, May 19, 2011
Automattic has updated the Wordpress iOS application with 31 bugs fixes and including the features Quick Photo Button and Analytic section. The latest version is 2.8 fixes some of errors which cause 75% of apps crashes.
The Quick Photo allows you to take a photo and write post around it to publish. This is much similar to the PicPosterous, Posterous’s rapid blogging iPhone app. For now the feature is just available for iPhone only.
Another inclusion is Stats which allows you to track the daily, weekly and monthly pageviews, along with information such as top referrers and post views. This features will available in all wordpress hosted blog where as self hosted blogs need to have either Jetpack or the Stats plugin to activate it.
Moreover, Automattic has also announced that the wordpress iOS apps has added support for 10 languages, including Croatian, Dutch, French, German, Hebrew, Italian, Japanese, Portuguese, Spanish and Swedish.
Combined, these changes make the WordPress app [iTunes link] a significantly more useful tool for keeping your blog up-to-date.
