Time Capsules With A5 Processors and iOS Releasing At WWDC 2011?
Saturday, June 04, 2011
WWDC 2011 is merely two days away and the excitement is building up. We previously reported that it was possible for Apple to release new AirPort and Time Capsule devices at WWDC 2011. Now, we hear that the new Time Capsule units may come with the A4 or dual-core A5 processor and will run iOS. Amazing, no?
At WWDC 2011, Apple is going to preview iOS 5, Mac OS X Lion and iCloud. There will be no iPhone unveiling at this years Worldwide Developers Conference.
It is possible that Apple may be bringing iOS to Time Capsule just because these devices are to be integrated with the new iCloud service. A new Time Capsule with an A4 or A5 processor running iOS will bring this device at par with the second-generation Apple TV.
So regardless of the fact that we won't be seeing any new iPhone at WWDC, is Time Capsule going to be the only hardware announcement that Apple has to make? If that is the case, then let's be prepared to get awestruck by the new Time Capsule devices.
FYI: The official WWDC 2011 app is now available for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch.
