Well, Microsoft has now released an updated Facebook for windows phone application This updated version includes push notifications ahead of the mango update ,which is likely to leak out later this year.

It depends upon users to get notifications from vast list of options including messages,wall posts,feed comments,feed comments reply,photo tag,photo comment,tagged photo comment,photo comment reply etc.Also the users of Facebook can push on toasts and live count for notifications.

Below here three options are available:

• Toasts and Tile count
• Tile count only
• No push Notifications

WpCentral observed that this app has lot of smoothness and it is properly completed.This windows phone also asks for access to sensors on Phone identity and devices,Most likely for further features in future.
