According to a new report on DigiTimes, Sony’s manufacturing partners will start to build next generation Sony PlayStation toward the end of this year and launch in 2012. This report is still a rumor but from a reliable source and it’s considered the first rumor about PS4.

Sony will have Taiwan-based partners begin production of PlayStation 4 (PS4) featuring body movement-based control like Kinect at the end of 2011 for launch in 2012, according to Taiwan-based component makers.

The report claims that Sony will ship at least 20 million units of PlayStation 4 in 2012. We’ll be waiting for more to come about PlayStation 4.
