Yea, you read it right! Apple has just announced the iPhone 4S during its media event. It has the same design as the iPhone 4S. But from inside, it’s totally different.

Some iPhone 4S specs announced during the event:

Dual-core CPU, 2x as fast at CPU tasks. Also dual-core graphics. Up to 7x faster in the previous iPhone. One area you really see it scream is in games.
4S will offer eight hours of 3G talk time. Six hours of browsing, nine on WiFi. 10 hours of video, and 40 hours of music.
Data can now download up to 2x as fast. Theoretical max performance used to be 5.8 up and 7.2 down — now doubles to almost 14.4Mbps down.

Now where have I heard that before you might be thinking? This is what our competitors call 4G. We’re not going to debate it. But when it comes to real world performance, it’s just as fast as these phones. We think it’s even faster with our updates.

Next, a world phone. You know that the iPhone comes in two flavors, GSM or CDMA. Now the iPhone 4S has both GSM and CDMA.
An 8 megapixel camera. That’s 60% more pixels than in the iPhone 4 camera. 1080p HD video recording too.
The new iPhone 4S takes just 1.1 seconds to the first photo. And just half a second for the next shot.
Yes, the iPhone 4S gets voice activated Siri assistant feature for iOS 5.
