Apple launched iOS 5.0.1 (9A402) for iPhone 4S, iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPad 2, iPad 2, iPod touch 4G, 3G to developers. The software update brings some important bug fixes, features and improvements for all devices running iOS 5.

To be more specific, iOS 5.0.1 fixes the battery life problems in iPhone 4S and brings back multitasking gestures for the iPad 1, which was disabled in iOS 5.

Moreover, Apple has told AllThingsD that an update for battery life on iOS 5 will be coming in a few weeks. That’s mean we should expect iOS 5.0.1 beta 2 in the next few weeks.
