Stay Far From iOS 5.0.1 If You Want Future Jailbreak For iPhone 4S, iPad 2, iOS 5 Untethered

Two days ago, a very dangerous flaw in the security system for iOS was discovered by security researcher Charlie Miller which allow any app to be remotely download and execute malicious, system-level code on an iPhone. Apple, just few hours after the flaw was known, banned the app developer and may release iOS 5.0.1 for public very soon to fix this security flaw.

The iPhone hacker pod2g few days ago announced that he found a bug in iOS 5 which will allow untethered jailbreak on the software. After founding the security flaw mentioned above, the iOS 5 jailbreak and iPhone 4S jailbreak became “dramatically easier.” as tweeted by pod2g.

That’s why I’m writing this post; to tell you that you’ve to stay away and don’t update to iOS 5.0.1 when it’s released to the public very soon. iOS 5.0.1 will surely fix the security flaw found by Miller which means that jailbreaking will be even more difficult.

Pod2g has been asked about how will people get the battery fix included in iOS 5.0.1, pod2g said:

some dev may create a package on Cydia containing the differences between 5.0 and 5.0.1.

We’ve seen iPhone 4S and iPad 2 already jailbroken on iOS 5 by the iPhone Dev Team. Founding exploits now became more easier with this security flaw. An iPhone 4S, iPad 2 and iOS 5 untethered jailbreak are now on the horizon.

In brief, if you really care about the next iOS 5 jailbreak on all devices including the 4S and the 2nd-generation iPad, you’d better prevent yourself from updating to iOS 5.0.1.
