ell well well.. everything is now over and there’s no iPhone 5 announced announced during the event but at least we got an iPhone 4S. During the event, we’ve posted about the iPhone 4S announcementand as promised, we have a post now that includes everything you need to know about the iPhone 4S. Starting from the specs and features to the availability and release date.
iPhone 4S Specs
8 Megapixel Camera
iPhone 4S comes with a camera much better than the iPhone 4. It’s now an 8 megapixel camera taking pictures at 3264 x 2448 resolution. The iPhone 4S’ camera has backside illumination, the new sensor will allow the camera to gather 73% more light, and it’s faster than the iPhone 4. The new iPhone 4S takes just 1.1 seconds to the first photo. And just half a second for the next shot. The iPhone 4S supports 1080p video recording with image stabilization and temporal noise reduction. Apple has also enabled AirPlay Mirroring to mirror the display to an Apple TV, as well as video out.
Dual-Core A5 Chip
Yes, as expected, the iPhone 4S now supports the fast dual-core A5 chip which we’ve already seen on the iPad 2. It’s 7 times faster than the current one on the iPhone 4.
Better Graphics
Apple has improved the iPhone 4S graphics too. Tim Cook has shown how fast is the iPhone 4S’ graphics by making a small demo of Infinity Blade 2, which will be available on December 1.
Battery Life
Not only faster processor and dual-core graphics but also Apple is bringing a better battery life for the iPhone 4S. The 4S will offer eight hours of 3G talk time. Six hours of browsing, nine on WiFi. 10 hours of video, and 40 hours of music.
World Phone
Unlike the iPhone 4, the iPhone 4S comes in two flavors, GSM or CDMA. Now the iPhone 4S has both GSM and CDMA.
Siri
Apple announced an incredibly intelligent voice recognition service called “Siri” for the iPhone 4S. All you have to do (once the feature is enabled) is ask a question, and Siri will respond. For example, you can ask “Will it rain today?,” and Siri will show a weather forecast. You can tell Siri, “Wake me up at six a.m.,” and the feature will have an alarm configured for you.

The rumors are true, Apple unveiled the third iPhone model: 64GB iPhone 4S is here. Here’s all the prices (with two-year contract)
- 16 GB: $199
- 32 GB: $299
- 64 GB: $399
The iPhone 4S is available on AT&T, Verizon and for the first time on Sprint. iPhone 4S is available in black and white.
