New report by DigiTimes, Apple is getting ready to launch a minor iPad upgrade, the iPad 3. The site claims that the next-generation iPad will release in March with a thinner overall design and improved battery life.






The iPad 2 upgrade will be thinner than iPad 2, and will offer longer battery life. Due to the Lunar New Year holidays in China in January, Apple has decided to start small volume shipments in the fourth quarter of 2011, the sources noted.

We’ve seen previous reports that the iPad 3 will get new & smaller dock connector. Also reports about iPad 3 with 2048*1536 retina display is spreading as well.

Interestingly, the report claims that a real iPad 3 coming in third quarter of 2012, only few months after the above reported minor upgrade.
